I currently have a problem with the new .htaccess which I believe will be generated still after I install. I posted copies of the old .htacess and the new one in posts above.

Can you please help me deduce the problem.... and probably work out a custom .htaccess for me.

Just in case, there is no relation between page title and url. So what's wrong with your htaccess ? Do you run into 404 ?

FYI PAGE_TITLE template variable is defined in page_header() (includes/functions.php).

I have since reinstalled the board. But I have problems with the new .htaccess generated. I get 404 on some links. For now, I am still using the old .htaccess

Your new .htaccess is missing quite some lines of code. First, you'll need to re-add the OLD URLS REDIRECTION REWRITE RULES after :

Then, when gym is installed, the .htaccess generator should add the required rewriterules automatically, not exactly the way you did. So try to use the generator, should do the job directly.
