Hello, could You explain my what should I do with my .htaccess file. I've installed the just-downloaded version of latest PHPBB SEO Premod, done whole installation easily and now trying to activate SEO Urls.

When I click "activate seo urls" it makes standard 404 error page by clicking the topic.

I read on forums that I need to edit the .htaccess file with code generated in "htaccess mode". I've done it, it generated me some code which I copied and pasted in my root (localhost/forum-seo/) folder but after saving it I get:

Internal Server Error

The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.

I've also cleared the cache folder but still the forums are unavailable :/ Could You guide me step-by-step in this SEO Urls activation? I'm unable to find any support;/

It could just be because mod_rewrite is not activated on your local server. Are you using xampp ?

Thanks for reply! I'm using WAMP (I think it's the same engine as XAMP, but for Windows). Do You think it was caused just by installing it on local machine?

mod_rewrite is enabled but the problem still exists ;/

I don't use wamp, but xampp can be used on windows too.

Did you make sure that mod_rewrite is activated ?
