I accidentally deleted the htaccess file within the /phpbb/forum/cache/ directory. I can't find a copy of it when I download a fresh install, and am not sure how to recreate it or download it.

To be clear, this is not the htaccess file that SEO creates for me. I got that one done correctly.

Because this is on my development server I hadn't made a backup. Getting a new file is probably a lot more time efficient that re-install the lot from scratch on the dev server.

Could anyone help?

You have it in phpBB or phpBB Premod package, just upload it again in cache/ and you'll be done. If once uploaded you don't see it, it may be due to your ftp client settings (some do not show .files by default, if so look at the options).
