Double content pages

Postby miro33 » Wed May 16, 2012 3:55 pm

I just installed fresh phpBB SEO Premod on fresh phpbb3 script and I see some bad SEO errors in this SEO script.
I have double content pages
MyDomain.com/f/testing-seo-url-t19.html
When I replay to this topic and then it is redirected back to the topic I have completely different url pointing to the same page
MyDomain.com/f/post32.html#p32
so now I have two different urls pointing to one page
When I replay again I have another new url pointing to the same page
MyDomain.com/f/post33.html#p33
So every time someone replays there is new url pointing to one page.
Now I have replayed 3 times and I have 3 pages with the same content
MyDomain.com/f/testing-seo-url-t19.html
MyDomain.com/f/post32.html
MyDomain.com/f/post33.html

I think this is very bad and this mod can actually kill the whole site instead of helping it.

same as here
this url points to the same page as the url of this page, is this wrong, or can someone talk nice about this.

Just to see:
All those urls point to this page

phpbb-seo.com/en/phpbb-seo-premod/article8774.html
phpbb-seo.com/en/message41503.html
phpbb-seo.com/en/message41504.html

Is it hot in here or is it just me?
I just point out very serious bug and no one has anything to say about this?
BTW I got spam in my pm box (with email notification) from this forum. Is this all I get from here?

You will see the same rel=canonical element in the page source of those URLs, it's not duplicate content:

<link rel="canonical" href="http://www.phpbb-seo.com/en/phpbb-seo-premod/article8774.html" />

<link rel="canonical" href="http://mydomain.com/f/testing-seo-url-t19.html" />

You can redirect post URLs to the corresponding topic URL if you want:
Activate the "No duplicate" & the "Zero duplicate" options (Strict Mode: No, Posts Redirections: Guest or all).

Posts Redirections:
This option will determine how to handle post urls; it can take four values :
off, do not redirect post url, whatever the case,
post, only make sure postxx.html is used for a post url,
guest, redirect guests if required to the corresponding topic url rather than to the postxx.html, and only make sure postxx.html is used for logged users,
all, redirect if required to the corresponding topic url.
I install and configure phpBB-SEO (and other mods) for a fair price and very fast. If you are interested simply send me a private message.
