Postby jamuna » Wed Feb 05, 2014 10:03 am

I have installed phpbb ultimate SEO URL.
This is the rewritten URL : -http://www.oneyearmba.co.in/forum/one-year-mba-in-india-f4.html .
When i manually enter the URL, it is working fine.If I go to forum
and click on this topic it shows thefollowing URL
-http://www.oneyearmba.co.in/forum/viewforum.php?f=4.
Even when I create a new topic rewritten URL is not seen.
Need help

Phpbb SEO Class Setting:
---------------------------------
Activate URL rewriting: yes
URL rewriting type:Yes
Highlights Removing::Yes
Forum URL caching::Yes
Rest all NO
the generated .htaccess (More option)is placed under forum installtion directory.

That's odd. Is the phpbb cache folder is writeable and the phpbb_cache.php options look correct. You shouldn't have to run the phpbb_seo/sync_url.php but it can't hurt.

url_rewrite is set to true in phpbb_cache.php
<?php
/**
* phpBB_SEO Class
* www.phpBB-SEO.com
* @package Advanced phpBB3 SEO mod Rewrite
*/
if (!defined('IN_PHPBB')) {
exit;
}
$this->cache_config['settings'] = array ( 'url_rewrite' => true, 'modrtype' => 3, 'sql_rewrite' => true, 'profile_inj' => false, 'profile_vfolder' => false, 'profile_noids' => false, 'rewrite_usermsg' => false, 'rewrite_files' => false, 'rem_sid' => false, 'rem_hilit' => true, 'rem_small_words' => false, 'virtual_folder' => false, 'virtual_root' => false, 'cache_layer' => true, 'rem_ids' => false, 'copyrights' => array ( 'img' => true, 'txt' => '', 'title' => '', ), );
$this->cache_config['forum'] = array ( 1 => 'admissions-help-f1', 4 => 'one-year-mba-in-india-f4', 5 => 'one-year-mba-in-europe-f5', 8 => 'one-year-mba-in-china-south-east-asia-f8', 6 => 'one-year-mba-in-usa-canada-f6', 40 => 'one-year-mba-in-australia-f40', 9 => 'gmat-preperation-f9', 10 => 'verbal-awa-f10', 11 => 'quantitative-f11', 12 => 'cat-preperation-f12', 13 => 'verbal-ability-logical-reasoning-f13', 14 => 'quantitative-ability-data-interpretation-f14', 36 => 'alumni-connect-f36', 37 => 'current-class-alumni-f37', 42 => 'isb-current-class-and-alumni-f42', 39 => 'iim-indore-current-batch-and-alumni-f39', 41 => 'iim-c-pgpex-current-batch-and-alumni-f41', 38 => 'pan-b-school-one-year-mba-alumni-connect-f38', 16 => 'general-discussions-f16', 17 => 'front-page-news-f17', );

That certainly looks correct to me. I've posted this before, but maybe you should set up a local server using xampp so you can debug this in isolation. For example, install XAMPP, install the phpBB-SEO premod (in a separate database), and compare what you see in the XAMPP test server with your "other" server.
