So just to make sure I understand correctly, to install, I install a vanilla phpbb & then copy all files from the /root folder of premod & "OVERWRITE" all the old files of phpbb?

This HOW to is mean for people already running a phpBB forum willing to go for the premod (eg, they already have a data base with post and users).
If it's a first install, then, it get installed just like phpBB.

After Installing Premod, my forum styles have gone and only the text is displayed without any style. When I click any links on that page, it does not work, then I check the link, it has "www.www" which is why it is not working.

How can I fix it?

I'm pretty sure your cookie / domain settings are wrong. Please correct them like described in this article: phpBB Server and Cookie settings.

Also check out the link dcz posted. If you don't use the standard style, you have to apply those code changes. Using prosilver / subsilver from the phpBB-SEO premod package will give you the least problems (none at all if you follow the install instructions correctly in general).
I install and configure phpBB-SEO (and other mods) for a fair price and very fast. If you are interested simply send me a private message.

Hi
First of all i installed phpbb3.0.9 on my site .

Then i downloaded phpBB3-SEO-Premod_V_3-0-9.

I intalled it succesfully in phpbb.

But if i click on any forum link to my page it shows 404 not found error page.

I mean
After installing it starts showing address "http://headshooterclan.co.cc/forum/forum2.html" but not works after clicking.

Please help me if i miss anything.

My site link with installed phpbb seo is "http://headshooterclan.co.cc/forum"

Thanks

Your board is down at the moment, so here just some general things to check:

Are your phpBB Server and Cookie settings correct?

Did you put the .htaccess file in your /forum/ directory (Administration Control Panel -> phpBB-SEO -> .htaccess -> Scroll Down -> More Options: Yes -> Submit -> Scroll Down again -> .htaccess location: Put the .htaccess in the phpBB folder? -> Yes -> Submit. Download .htaccess, Copy & Paste the newly generated code in it and reupload to /forum/ - clear board cache (delete all files in the /forum/cache/ folder excluding .htaccess & index.htm).

Is the folder /phpbb_seo/cache/ writeable (CHMOD 777)? If you log in to the administration control panel -> phpBB-SEO you should see the following message:

Cache file status:
The cache directory configured is : ./../phpbb_seo/cache/
The cache directory was successfully found.
The cache directory is writable.
I install and configure phpBB-SEO (and other mods) for a fair price and very fast. If you are interested simply send me a private message.

I just checked the server response and your cookie domain seems to be missing the leading dot:

Code: Select all
expires=Sun, 06-Jan-2013 14:50:51 GMT; path=/; domain=headshooterclan.co.cc

compared to e.g.

Code: Select all
expires=Sun, 22-Jan-2012 14:50:11 GMT; path=/; domain=.phpbb-seo.com

So change that (ACP -> Cookie settings -> Cookie domain: headshooterclan.co.cc to .headshooterclan.co.cc)

Once you've followed all the steps from this how too, you need to still understand the mods included. As Stephen26 wrote, you need to generate and implement your .htaccess file for the rewritten url to work (if of course your server supports mod_rewrite).

I have just upgraded my test board from phpBB-SEO 3.0.9 to version 3.0.10 using. Everything seems to work fine, but I'm not sure if using the update pack 3.0.9 to 3.0.10 is OK as I have ~ 10 mods installed? Do I have to use the preMod and install all modifications again in order to be on the safe side (I don't know how much to trust the automatic file merging process)?

I have found the auto merge to work just fine as long as there isn't any code from other mods right in the middle of one of its "find" operations. Just save all the side by side file comparisons of the files it fails to merge so you can do it manually.
