I don't think version 1.0.4 changed anything that warrants an update to the SEO mods. It should work fine with the edits in this thread.

You can change this in phpbb_seo/includes/setup_phpbb_seo.php if you prefer.
To do this, you can for example add :

$this->seo_static['index'] = 'forum';

before :

// Let's make sure that settings are consistent
$this->check_config();

This is mostly useful if you're running a portal in the folder where phpBB is installed.

if I wanted to leave the portal as the landing page when someone types in my url, and have the regular board index still accessible, this is what I would need to do, correct?

Yes, simpledollarz, this is exactly what yiu would need to do to leave the portal as your landing page and still have access to the forum, ie forum.php

I have installed phpBB Gallery V1.0.3 with SEO URL phpBB Gallery working fine too, but I use this gallery for others matters.

Coppermine Photo Gallery is better gallery. (excuses to say this) :roll:

Well, I'm not far to agree with you, it's just that the gallery mod is designed to work fully with phpBB.
