Hello,
i've just installed phpBB SEO Advanced mod Rewrite (for phpbb 2.x) and i have a question. What can i do to make topic url look like this:
http://www.forum.com/category/topic-t1.html
(meaning, i want category name included in topic link after rewrite of the actual link)

Thanks

The topic has been discussed here many time, we may back-port the phpBB SEO mod rewrite developed for phpBB3 on the phpBB2 branch, but it's not scheduled.

Have you tried our phpBB3 mods ?

phpbb3 as i've seen it's just a RC. I don't trust RC, betas, alphas or another testing version. Unfortunately, stable phpbb version is 2.x, not 3.x. There is something i can do with my phpbb2 to be the way i want it?

For sure it's possible, but, as said, we are not currently working on it, and actually, chances are not this great we'll ever will.

Of course phpBB3 is RC, but it's RC7, and really close to stable release. I don't think you'd risk more than to have to update a little bit more often if you'd go for it.
Actually, I would not advise to start a new forum using phpBB2 right now.
Because, if phpBB3 turns gold this years, which is likely to, you could end up have lost some good effort with phpBB2.

ok. i installed phpbb3rc7. Now there is a problem. I've changed the default theme to Acidtech, or something like that. And i've read the documentation of advanced seo for phpbb3 and involves some files/functions from prosilver theme. The only problem is that i don't use that theme. What can i do now?

Maybe it is time to talk about this in the dedicated forum.

You'll find topic about how to install the mod rewrite on other styles ;)
