Actually, there are tons of threads talking about the WWW thing, and no working for all solution, even though in the end, a specific solution exist for all.

Please try this one instead :

All right, I started to elaborate a bit about how to lock the www in URLs and started a new thread, since this is a general matter, not only concerning phpBB but all web sites.

Hope you'll find a working turnaround to lock the www, since in the end it really can make the difference in Page Ranking and thus search engines results.
