phpbb2 dup content - Guru Advice Needed

Hey Guys,

So recently my indexed pages in Google has fallen from 17k to around 3.5k, its very frusterating and I know what the issue is but how to fix it is the problem.

If you take for example this thread there are 500 pages off content
-www.noluckneeded.com/casino770-fr-french-casino-770-poker-770-no-usa-t2042.html

However google has started recognizing the content as duplicate and the majority of the pages have been dropped as you can see here only two pages remain indexed:
Search in Google: 'site:noluckneeded.com casino777.fr french'

I have added the page number to each thread title to help reduce the duplicate content, but I'm not sure what else I can do. Is there a way to hide common phpbb elements that googlebot doesn't need to see to reduce the dup content. I almost want to serve up text only to googlebot as that is all unique. Thanks in advance.



PS I have the phpbb-seo link here:www.noluckneeded.com/links.php?t=sub_pages&cat=11, as we have too many link partners and didn't want so much clutter in the footer.

Well I'm afraid that your example thread is basically an example of what google can easily consider as being a very poor content. Pretty much all posts consist in a short sentence, mostly to say thanks or just hi, so, it's pretty much like there is no content at all in these pages.

This only could explain why the thread isn't fully crawled, but generally speaking, it's kind of hard to have all 500 pages of a 500 page topic being indexed.

Though in your case, you do not lose much because chances are very very low that anyone will ever hit your site after searching for "hello" or "thank you". These pages never brought you any visitor IMHO.

I suppose that is true, there is no point in figuring out how to get these pages indexed. Thanks for the reply.
