What RSS feed mods for PHPBB do you use, and what RSS feed mod for PHPBB do you feel is the best?

At first I'd say read this : http://boards.phpbb-seo.com/phpbb-mod-r ... -vt51.html

But there is a problem with this code, it is outputting post URLs, I have to mod it a bit to output last active topic links instead.

There are two RSS MODs released in the MOD database. they both work pretty well... except one did not do so well on my phpbb. but the other ( sorry, since they both do pretty much the same and are maintenance free, I can't remember the MOD names ) one of the MODs works pretty well with a free custimazable toolbar I use for my site. topics_anywhere doesn't work well with the toolbar... so.. I'll post back as soon as I figure out the name of the MOD. heh'

I have noticed one that looked good I wil try and find it and see what you think.

This rss was a very easy on the eye for the end user to pick whatever feeds they wanted

Well, it does not seems to use a cache feature, which can become pretty harassing for the server, in case you have many users.

And the feeds URL are outrageous, I don't think they would be usable with any rss parser, and, mod rewrite would be a bit complex it seems to shorten them.

http://www.phpbb.com/phpBB/viewtopic.php?t=254606 this one does uses cache, and if there is not en user friendly interface, you can still provide links to feeds on every forum.

Again, it's outputting posts URLs, so it's not that good, as far as Search Engine Optimizing.

Then it's up to everyone to choose what to do.

I'll work on an SEO RSS solution for phpBB quite soon ;)

no rush at all.

Thank you for this info, as it looked good to my basic eye.

I have not even started to look at your maps and google maps, so it is no problem for me to wait.
