Unable to login to ACP

Postby notrick » Wed Apr 30, 2008 2:03 am

Hi,

I made a change in the Settings of PHP_SEO mod.

I enabled an option which asked to turn the Virtual Folder mode on (the option related to forums.html).

I made the changes to .htaccess file also. But Now I am unable to login to Admin Control panel.
How Can I fix it? In which table of the database is this stored.

Also I want to move to Advanced mod from the this Mod. All my pages are well indexed in Google. But still I want to make a move. Will it be good and adviceable?

You do not need to activate virtual folder in order to use forum.html. Read the install it's explained.

The phpbb_seo class settings are stoed in the phpbb_seo/cache/ dir. But I doubt it's coming from there, the .htaccess could be the guilty one here, if you customized it.

Well, it already looks like you changed many urls lately if you activated the virtual folder trick. This already implies that you keep the previous forum rewriterules for the redirections to occur (since you now need to match both the old and the new suffix : .html and / for forums).

Then, if you want to go for the advanced, you should do it fast to lower the redirections amount.

To do so, you'd need to keep the old forum (for forum keep the rewriterule before the virtual folder trick as well) and topic in your new .htacess, after :
Code: Select all
# HERE IS A GOOD PLACE TO ADD OTHER PHPBB RELATED REWRITERULES

Be careful when changing urls, you need to think about redirection first.
