Problems with Advanced Mod Rewrite and Split Topic Type Mod

Postby neboor » Tue Jan 16, 2007 10:57 pm

Hi, i have a problem, i installed Advanced Mod rewrite on a vanilla phpbb, then i installed Split Topic Type Mod.

This Split Topic mod adds a lot of custom content to the ViewForum.php replacing part of the original code with a file called functions_topic_list.php, and the result is when you click on a topic link it uses the standards phpbb URL links instead of the friendly ones.

My question is How to add the SEO urls to functions_topic_list.php ?

This is the part of the viewforum.php code replaced by functions_topic_list.php ( replaced code is the commented one /* */ ) :

[mod]Sorry, but too much code kills code ;)[/mod]

Thanx in Advance!!!

And welcome.

Well, this mod is quite heavy and old.

Before I start looking at it, could you make sure there is now newer version on phpBB.com or Ptirhiik web site ?

The changes must not be that complicated, but we need to make sure we work for something ;)

Is there a release thread somewhere for this mod ?

Where we could have hints on phpBB 2.0.22 compatibility ?

There is one on phpbb.com

http://www.phpbb.com/phpBB/viewtopic.php?t=149058

Not sure about the phpbb v2.0.22 compatibility, but when i installed on it, worked perfectly.

Are you sure you want to go for this ?

Because the last post in the thread was posted : Fri Nov 18, 2005.

And the Ptirhiik release web site does not seem to offer it any more : http://ptifo.clanmckeen.com/download.php?pack=117

I suggest you try posting in the phpBB.com thread and see if anybody is still 1) watching the thread and 2) using the mod.

I am not sure you want to install this mod if it's unstable.

dcz, you are right, that mod is very old and heavy, now i found another mod that do the same but with almost no code modification ( 3 minutes installation ), the name is Separate Announcementes And Sticky v2.0.0 and best of all... fully compatible with Advanced Mod Rewrite ! :D

Thank you for the quick response and specially for the creation of such a great mods like Advanced Mod Rewrite and mx Google Sitemaps ;)
