7) Go to phpBB ACP : It's now time to play with settings described bellow;
8) Generate your personalized .htaccess and upload or move it following the instructions;
9) Test a rewritten URL, such as www.yoursite.com/phpBB/post1.html, if you end up with a 404 (not a phpBB message), go back to step 8;
10) Activate URL rewriting in phpBB ACP and allow yourself some auto-congratulation :D

Once you will have installed the mod, you will have to refresh your theme's cache as well as phpBB's cache (ACP => STYLE, Themes => Refresh).

You have a ".htaccess" menu in the phpBB SEO acp cat to do so ;)

I don't get how you could experience a 500 on all page and 404 or rewritten urls so I encourage you to set up a local / test server with our SEO premod, you'll be able to test all the install steps without editing a line of code.

how to do that sir.. ?

should i upload premod files to server?
where to get that file..

thank you sir..

forgive me if i didnt describe clearly for my problem..

i didnt get internal 500 error and 404 error at the same time..

i got internal 500 error after i copy .htaccess file at phpbb-seo ACP
to .htaccess file that is in the contrib folder.. and i move the file to
root folder..

i got 404 error after i activate the url rewriting sir..
both are individual action .. and not in the same time

so .. how to do that right sir.. ?

thank you and regards,
