I manage an online store that has been open for about 11 months now. After reading much about SEO I have slowly been trying to make improvements to the site. My site stats show me that the Googlebot has been to the site many, many times and thus indexed it. I also know this by being able to search on particular *Non Keywords*. I can't find my site anywhere in the normal search listings when searching with my main keywords. I have used Web Position Gold just a bit and it seems to tell me that my pages aren't ranked. It also indicates that the pages are not designed poorly, maybe not perfect, but not that bad.

I am really confused as to why my pages are not ranked.

Any help and or comments would be greatly appreciated.

Then, many reasons could lead to what you describe, eg a web site with not this much PageRank transmission.
First thing to check is are your page indexed well.

Then how well PageRank is transmitted to your pages, and do you have duplicate content.

For the keywords, it depends, the first thing you need is content related to your main keywords. You need backlinks and good internal linking.

You need as well to avoid url like :

page.php?var=bla&bal=etc&id=15

Url with one or two variable can still be indexed, but the process will be slower, especially for PageRank Transmission.

To go further, more data would be required about your site : number of pages, url type, number of dupe, number of indexed pages etc ...
