how do they treat 301 redirects i read that some seo experts say that google do not like too many

with phpbb advanced mod rewrite of here phpbbseo can i change title of a useless or silly title post and with zero dupes and not be penalty by search engines

What is not good is if you HTTP 301 redirect many URLs to a single one, but if you perform a per case HTTP 301 redirection, it can be massive without much trouble.

Many web sites managed to change domain name without problems, because they redirected old page to new pages rather than all page from the older domain to the new one's root.

I recently redirected both forums here without a single visit loss. So you can edit topic titles no problem
It won't be a problem for the major search engines.
