How do you measure keyword density?

Postby isismedia » Thu Jun 24, 2010 6:10 am

How do you measure keyword density on your pages?

Personally, I just count the number of times my keyword shows up. My count is done while viewing the code, so I can see inside meta tags etc.

Is there a better way?

There are so many online keyword analysis tools are available..

You can think about how many words on your page there are. Divide that into the number of times you use your key phrase, and multiply by 100%. So if you have 500 words on your page, and you use your phrase 5 times, you’d have a 1% keyword density: 5/500 times 100% = 1%

Keyword density measures the number of times a keyword or a keyword phrase appears within a web page against the total number of words on this page. :D
For instance, if a keyword occurs 4 times in a web page of 600 words, the keyword density of the web page is 0.0067, by dividing 4 by 600.

Keyword density is always calculated as a percentage of the total words on the page, therefore 0.67%.
