phpBB SEO Rules

These are the general rules and Tems Of Services (T.O.S.) that apply everywhere on the phpBB-SEO.com domain, including sub domains, as well as on the phpBB-SEO.(net|org|info) domains and sub domains (henceforth referred to as phpBB SEO).

They both apply to French and English-speaking communities.

The Rules are ment for us all to enjoy our stay here and to make it as usefull as possible. We don't want spamers, but we will give really good quality Back links to our members.

In case of problem, dialogue will always be our first option here.

Please read the following and become familiar with it, it's terms are retroactive and agreed by team and group members.
By becoming a member of or using any of the phpbb SEO web site, you aggree these rules.

  1. # Forum rules :

    1. # Posts are to be made in the relevant forum. Users are asked to read the forum descriptions before posting.
    2. # Members should post in a way that is respectful of other users. Flaming or abusing users in any way will not be tolerated.
    3. # Members are asked to not act as "back seat moderators". If members note an issue which contravenes something in this policy document they are welcome to bring it to the attention of a member of the Moderator Team by sending a detailed report using the Image link in the topics. Please do not respond to such topics yourself.
    4. # Members should remember this board is aimed at a general audience. Posting pornographic or generally offensive text, images, links, etc. will not be tolerated and will lead to a warning.
    5. # Members should remember they are responsible for what they write. Slandering is not acceptable. phpBB SEO will not tolerate any naming or linking when talking about some "Cheating Web Site". Unsatisfaction does not give good advices, doing better than the one who'd have gotten on your nerves is a better and more creative answer. Cheat themselves can be commented and analysed, but this is the user responsibility to report the actual site name and url to the concerned institutions. phpBB SEO is clearly against cheating search results, but this is not the place to report such things. Any post displaying informations that tend to accuse a web site will be edited or removed. Anything close to defamatory content will not be tolerated. Criticizes will have to be honest and constructive.
    6. # Members are asked to respect the copyright of other users, sites, media, etc. Users linking to or asking for information on warez, crackz, etc. or re-printing material without permision will receive a warning and their post will be removed.
    7. # Members should respect the bandwidth of other users and sites. The use of inline () image tags pointing to data stored on third party systems for which the user has not received permission to link to may be removed.
    8. # Members should post in a way which is consistent with "normal writing". That is users should not post excessive numbers of emoticons, large, small or coloured text, etc. Similarly users should not SHOUT or use excessive punctuation (e.g. ! and ?) in topic titles or posts.
    9. # Members should use an appropriate, descriptive title when posting a new topic. Examples of bad titles include; "Help me!", "Why is that", etc ...
Additional titling rules may apply in some forums, they will be stated in the "How to Post" Announcement of the forum. Please read and follow the "Titling Guidelines".
    10. # Members are welcome to use the test forum for general "test purposes". These may include checking signatures, testing a link or image, etc. (subject to previous points on decency, warez, etc.). Please note that this forum is only viewable by logged users.
    11. # Spam is not tolerated here under any circumstances. This includes offering hosting services (only allowed in the Hosting forum and under these Specific Rules and conditions), installation services, solicitation etc. Recruiting of any sort (moderators, designers, professional MOD work etc.), be it for paid or unpaid jobs, is not permitted either. Members though, are welcome to use the PM system to meet further. Users posting spam will be warned and their post removed. See our "Linking offsite and Spam Policy" for more informations.
    12. # Members are asked to not disclose to any 3rd party, board, or list any vulnerabilities in phpBB SEO Scripts before first notifying the developers and or the site admin. Time should be allowed for us, at least 3 working days wherever possible, to respond.
    13. # The moderating, support and other teams reserve the right to edit or remove any post at any time. The determination of what is considered as indecent, vulgar, spam, defamatory content etc. as noted in these points is up to Team Members and not users.
    14. # The above forum rules where applicable also apply to private messaging. Abuse of the private messaging system may lead to warnings (as above) and/or the revocation of private messaging.

  2. # Signatures :

    2. # Avatars are subject to the same conditions as posts with respect decency, and so forth.
    3. # Users abusing these rules may lose their avatar privileges.

  4. # Support :

    1. # The phpBB SEO website is a place to share knowledge and scripts about Search Engine Optimization. The phpBB SEO Team members will do their best to provide support and advices to our SEO Community. Members themselves are encouraged to share their knowledge, since this is what this site is ment for.
Support is here of two kinds. Official support for phpBB SEO Scripts, and General Support. General Support rules apply to both kinds.
    2. # General Support :

      1. # Please do not contact team members privately (via any method) to ask for support. Post in the relevant forum instead and please follow the "Where to post what" guidelines.
      2. # When posting a support question bumping is permitted only after 12 hours have elapsed since the last post to that topic.
      3. # Posting outside of the phpBB SEO TooLKit Forum is considered as General support and discussion. phpBB SEO Team member will do their best to give relevant advices to members, but member should notice that some SEO issues are almost impossible to solve under certain circumstances (Blacklist, Poor Hosting, Zero Content sites etc ...) and that SEO mostly rely on how much do you want to work on it. Main purpose of this Community is for people to share their knowledge. We believe in giving a chance to all web sites project to be well Indexed and Ranked, a chance everyone has to catch or let go.
    3. # Official Support :

      2. # Before posting a phpBB SEO scripts support question users are asked to try and solve the issue themselves. This includes reading the documentation enclosed with each Script's package, the [RELEASE] Topic and additionnal related articles if any. Using Search is a good way to start. Users who persistently ask questions without showing any desire to help themselves should expect to receive at best a delayed response and at worst no response at all. All is about Help yourself, Help others and get Helped.
      3. # Members should note phpBB SEO scripts are maintained on a voluntary basis. The phpBB SEO Team members will do their best to provide support and updates for scripts and should be respected for that.
      4. # Members are requested to retain the full copyright as shown on the default subSilver template of each phpBB SEO script Package. If for good reason this message cannot be displayed we request at least the "phpBB SEO" be retained linked to http://www.phpbb-seo.com ... said message should be plainly visible and not hidden in the background colour, and so forth.
      5. # Members who remove (or fail to display on their own template) this message will receive no support here. Users found adding copyrights back for a short period and then removing them after obtaining support will find that future aid will not be given.

  5. # Linking offsite and Spam Policy :

    1. # Linking offsite is allowed if links are being offered in a "relevant discussion context". What a "relevant discussion context" is left to the phpBB SEO Team. Common sense is a good start to find out what is a "relevant discussion context".
And remember you can post links in a way that will not create active linking ( -http://www.example.com/ is an example, noticed the "-" ? ). This can be usefull when you whant to go further in a discussion without risking to provide to many or to bad links.
    2. # Spam will not be tolerated. "Spam" definition is left to the phpBB SEO Team. Common sense is a good start to find out what is "Spam" and what is not.
phpBB SEO will not either tolerate any automated posting here, such messages will be considered as Spam and deleted, as well as the related Fake accounts if any.

  6. # Policing :

    1. # Warnings : members that do not follow these rules may be warned And / Or Banned.
    2. # phpBB SEO usually operates a three strike policy. Users will be warned a maximum of three times for any and all offences in a three month period. If the need arises for a fourth warning a temporary ban will be put in place of between 1 to 7 days.
    3. # Arguing with team members after having received a warning will lead to an immediate additional warning. Should this exceed three strikes a temporary ban will be put in place as above.
    4. # Users who feel they have been unfairly warned are welcome to contact one of the moderator Team Member. Your case will be studied by moderators, If they feel you were treated badly they will remove the warning. If you feel their decision is also unfair you may contact a Group member, primarily SeO or dcz. Their decision is final. Contacting Group members over warning matters should be done so as a very last resort.
    5. # Any attempt to circumvent a temporary ban will lead to that ban being made permanent. Circumvention includes re-registering under a non-banned username, changing IP addresses to evade an IP ban, registering a new email account of evade an email ban. Circumvention includes posting as an anonymous user.
    6. # An exception to the three strike rule applies when users contact team members personally (via any method) and post insulting, indecent, vulgar or illegal material. Such users may be subject to an immediate permanent ban.
    7. # Permanent bans are a last resort and thought is given before implementing them. While phpBB SEO may consider lifting permanent bans from time to time this is a rare occurence.
    8. # If you feel your IP should be unbanned (in case it changed owner, user, etc ...) you can still contact us using this contact form.
