Re: ACP missing

Usually it's fine to do a reinstall. Just make sure you have backups. I've messed up a lot of times but always managed to fix bugs by starting all over again. Same goes for the database.

Re: How do you get a more active forum?

You need access to the templates. Just open the template and edit the html and upload the files back to the server.

Re: How to increase the traffic?

Get an active board! We've seen this a couple of times on our board. When we where having a period of many posts and new topics we got more traffic from Google soon afterwards. It sounds weird because you need a good ranking first to get an active board in the first place, but if you have for some r...

Re: R301 or canonical link?

If i'm not mistaken the Canonical works almost the same as a R301 but acts more like a recommendation. I think it's better to use a R301 but i'm no expert :)

Re: Redirect specific topics to other url

iwanttobelieve wrote:"When a topic is linked to content (to an other section of my website)" what kind of content is that and how would you link a topic to a content on our site?

I would do that by joining the topic query with a linking table. I will fill the linking table with my own cms.

Hey all, I would like to add an extra table to my forum database where I can link specific content to a forum thread.
