Re: Rewrite rules for nginx webserver (and phpbb seo)

Hello intel352,

thanks a lot!

I'm also thinking about moving to nginx as my Apache installation suffers from some severe memory leak.

It's good to know that I still will be able to use this fine SEO MOD after switching to nginx (hopefully within the next 1-2 months).

Regards
Wolfgang

Re: phpBB debug notices in various files: Undefined index/of

Hi dcz,

no problem. :)

My board is already up to date but I cannot tell you if the debug notices would still appear because I haven't undone the changes I suggested above.

Have a nice weekend

Re: How to kill URL rewriting type "Advanced"

Hello dcz, I tried it again and changed $this->seo_static['forum'] = 'forum'; to $this->seo_static['forum'] = 'forum-'; in setup_phpbb_seo.php. Then I recreated a .htaccess and uploaded it. # FORUM INDEX REWRITERULE WOULD STAND HERE IF USED. "forum" REQUIRES TO BE SET AS FORUM INDEX # Rewr...

Re: phpBB debug notices in various files: Undefined index/offset

Hello dzc, thanks for your response! I compared my phpbb_seo_class.php to the original file of your download package, and there are indeed two differences: two @ I must have added somewhere during the frustrating updating: function set_url( $url, $id = 0, $type = 'forum', $parent = '') { if ( empty(...

Re: MOD Thanks for post by Палыч doesn't work

Hello,

a bit late, but thanks a lot, Autinhyeu & dcz! :)

I can confirm that dcz's solution works perfectly for phpBB 3.0.6 and SEO MOD 0.6.2, too.

How to kill URL rewriting type "Advanced"

Hello, I thought I made some mistake updating my board from 3.0.4 to 3.0.6 and this great SEO mod from 0.4.8 to 0.6.2 because neither forum URLs nor topic URLs were rewritten correctly in Advanced mode. It took me a few hours to find the problem: Simply put $this->seo_static['forum'] = 'forum-'; in ...

phpBB debug notices in various files: Undefined index/offset

Hello, during the last days I upgraded my board from 3.0.4 > 3.0.5 > 3.0.6 (and it was not a funny experience...) I have debug mode enabled in config.php: @define('DEBUG', true); @define('DEBUG_EXTRA', true); And now I'm getting several debug notices. When I visit the main page in user control panel...

Re: MOD Thanks for post by Палыч doesn't work

Hi Autinhyeu, can you post your solution so far, please? Furthermore we need the exact URL when you try to remove a thanks. Isn't it something like: example.com/viewtopic.php?p=13973& r thanks=13973&to_id=18 I'm sorry that I can't help more but I'm despairing of a different project at the mo...

Re: MOD Thanks for post by Палыч doesn't work

Ah, I remember... Thank you, dcz! @Autinhyeu: I don't have the time to work on this at the moment (hopefully I will find some time at weekend), but the integration of primehalo's Post Revision MOD into the Zero Dupe part of viewtopic.php might give you an idea: // www.phpBB-SEO.com SEO TOOLKIT BEGIN...

MOD Thanks for post by Палыч works now

Hello, I want to install Палыч's Thank Post MOD because it needs much less SQL queries than e.g. Mahoney's Thanks MOD: [RC] Thanks for post by Палыч The problem is that it doesn't work together with your SEO MODs out of the box. I have already added 'thanks=' and 'rthanks=' to the stop vars in phpbb...

Re: Locking the www in urls

Hi, just a small note: You can also do it without the domain name in .htaccess which is a bit more convenient when you have different sites because you can just copy & paste the code: RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} !^www\. [NC] RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} !^$ RewriteRule ^(.*) http://www.%{HTTP_HOST}/$1 ...

Re: Ranking for a specific phrase.

Hello! so the domain is rochdalehandyman. I think rochdale-handyman would have been better because rochdalehandyman is considered as one word. Is it a case of using the exact phrase more in the body It does not need to be the (very) exact phrase but you should have the words handyman and the name of...

Hi quizzical, your robots.txt doesn't really reflect the URL structure of your board. There is no /forum/memberlist.php /forum/viewtopic.php /forum/viewforum.php and so on - at least not for visitors (I visited your board with Google's user-agent.) I would try to disallow /memberlist.php /viewtopic....

The title is indeed important for search engines. But do you really think it matters for Google and co. if the title is the first line after <head> or the tenth line? Why should that be important in any way? Give me just one good reason. You should have the line <meta http-equiv="content...
