Re: 404 Error without Virtual Folder?

Since I'm no expert on this subject, and I'm just using the mod, like you, I can't give you any professional advice, but I'd try to enable (or disable) "RegEx Right Slash" under the .htaccess settings (you have to enable more options for it)

Re: 404 Error without Virtual Folder?

That sounds like you forget to update your .htaccess file manually (note that "Changing this option requires and .htaccess update.")

Re: Updating from phpBB307 to SEO phpBB...

There are database changes, yes, but phpbb_seo/phpbb_seo_install.php and gym_sitemaps/gym_install.php are designed precisely to take care of the database changes, so running them (while logged in as admin) should just do fine.

Re: need help with mod_rewrite!

It does not work!

It throws "the page is not properly redirected" error in firefox.

also the part "RewriteRule ^index\.php$ / [QSA,L,NC,R=301]" ends up in an endless loop.

Can someone help me with it again?

Re: Google sitemap displaying -fxx despite URL rewriting

No the SQL rewriting was nothing related, if you don't know what it is, you can just disable it of course. I just thought you had some problems with the cached urls being old, but that was nothing related. Ah ok... now I understand. So it does not matter that the sitemap does not show the rewritten ...

Re: Google sitemap displaying -fxx despite URL rewriting

Sorry now I really checked your sitemap, but I don't see any problem with it! First I checked the sitemapindex.xml, there are quite a few forum sitemaps it is linking to, like: forums/forum-sitemap.xml forums/greece-f172.xml forums/china-f138.xml forums/united-arab-emirates-f288.xml forums/immigrati...

Re: From Simple mode to Advance Mode

This topic you just bumped is over two years old. A lot of changed since then. For example there are no separate SEO url mods, just one called Ultimate SEO url, in which you can chose your preferred rewrite mode (in the ACP). There is no need for code change between rewrite modes (you just need to s...

Re: Google sitemap displaying -fxx despite URL rewriting

if I'm not mistaken you might try to run
/phpbb_seo/sync_url.php
And delete the cache after that.

Re: DOCTYPE

Since the XML Sitemap Protocol is described by an XML Schema, I doubt you will need a DTD for it. :)

In other words: this is not a mistake in the sitemap it's just the validator.
