I have the same problem.. installed phpbb SEO PRE mod 3.0.1 -> config the options in the PHPBB SEO panel -> generate the htacces and uploaded in the root of the forum the links are showing right but i cant acces them also... always 404 error Mod rewrite is also activated.. joomla modrewrite works.....
