Re: phpbb seo premod ... Where I am?!

Re: Page X from Y in page title

You're right, Stephen, it's fairly simple :) OPEN root/language/ru/common.php FIND 'PAGE_OF' => 'Страница <strong>%1$d</strong> из <strong>%2$d</strong>', REPLACE WITH 'PAGE_OF' => 'Страница %1$d из %2$d', OPEN root/viewtopic.php FIND // www.phpBB-SEO.com SEO TOOLKIT BEGIN - TITLE $extra_title = ($s...

Re: Help: Cannot view topics after Simple install

Double check your code edits on viewforum.php and viewtopic.php, and the edits to the include files. You may have deleted/pasted over a bracket "}".

Re: problem with Url rewrite

Ok, but do you see how in my example my forums have names? Did you seriously name your forums f1-f1 through f21-f21? What are the names of your forums, like "hello and welcome" "board help", etc.? You can fix your site with SEO URL, you just have to do the code edits correctly, o...

Re: Will the Ultimate phpBB SEO mod solve this problem?

OK, some clarification. robots.txt is a file you place at the root of your server to prevent search engines from following certain links. Only search engines look for it or even know it's there (though you can call any robots.txt for any site through a browser. Try it. a lot of sites have them. -www...

Re: Will the Ultimate phpBB SEO mod solve this problem?

How would Stephen26's suggested edit increase security? It seems as though the code he suggested I add would stop the bots from following the "Post Reply" button/link? Or am I reading it wrong? no, you're reading it right, I was just fixated on how you could install the mod lol. Those lin...

Re: Will the Ultimate phpBB SEO mod solve this problem?

Ok, I made sure bots had "Bot Access" for all the relevant forums. Do I just copy and paste that code into the .htaccess file or do I need to verify that mod_headers.c is loaded? Search engine bots don't 'see' the "post reply" / "new topic" buttons anymore on your foru...

Re: Will the Ultimate phpBB SEO mod solve this problem?

It will work fine, but it won't solve your problem. The only thing it does as written now is provide extra security for your config.php and common.php files.

Re: Will the Ultimate phpBB SEO mod solve this problem?

While all different, they lead to the same page. Will the mod correct this problem? Yes, it will correct that problem, though you should practice on a dev site and not a live installation, unless you don't mind quickly restoring your site from the backups you created before you tried to install it ...

Re: problem with Url rewrite

I think you may have missed an edit somewhere. Your forums should not be named "f20-f20", etc. Post a link to your site, it's OK. I would go through the entire install and make sure you did everything correctly. Do not use notepad . Use notepad++ or bluefish or some other editor that is fo...

Re: problem with Url rewrite

Do you still get the red error notification? When you go back into the admin panel, is URL rewriting still set to "yes" and "advanced"? It sounds like a cache problem to me so far. Did you install Ultimate SEO URL or phpBB SEO Premod? Could you post the contents of the file forum...
