I just finished a clean install of this file but when I try to enter my boards I get a 404 error Someone did a .htaccess file for me and I have put that in there but still nothing did I miss something in the insatll?

Is there files other than the root files I need to install?

I built my site on my local host and uploded the files to my server and the only thing not working now are all my forums. when you click on them to enter and read them you get a 404 message.
