you don't think Google sees it as spam if you have the same phrase repeated as an h3 tag 20 times on a single page? I am not an SEO expert by any means, but that seems like something that would be flagged?

I guess by default PHPBB repeats the post title for every post in a given thread. Does anyone know how to turn this off?

I noticed that it is on some of the threads in this forum have it and some dont - so I am not sure why that is...

thanks! It says that the reason it does that is so portals can adapt it... I am not familiar with portals - can you provide any more info as to why I would want to leave it?

I have installed the URL re-writing and the optimal titles mod and all of my forums and topics are showing the titles that I want, however, the forums homepage is showing "Index page" in the Title and I don't know where to change that. I am sure it is an easy fix, does anyone know? Thanks!!

thanks for getting back to me... I swapped that code with the code in that file and it gave me an error - so I couldn't see the pages at all... I deleted the cache to see if that was it... nope.

Is there something else I need to do in addition to the code?

I just installed the optimal titles mod - it is working well (the way I want it to) for each of the forum pages - only showing the actual forum name... But for the topic pages themselves it is adding on the forum name at the end of it, I would prefer that the title only show the topic name... exampl...

I am trying to download the optimal titles mod but when I get to the d/l page there is nothing to D/L .... http://downloads.phpbb-seo.com/phpbb-seo-toolkit-4/optimal-titles-7.html I see the green arrow that says download, but it isn't clickable for me? Is this a browser issue, or maybe a Mac issue? ...

I noticed that the title tag includes the forum name before the topic, I think I would rather have the topic listed first - that seems better for SEO to me, isn't it?

What is SID and what is the reason to disable it?
