Re: How to display FORUM_IMAGE in viewtopic_body.html

Is there any way I can do the same thing but on viewforum_body? But in the viewforum.php, the images ar already displayed as long as you set the images in the ACP: In viewforum.php line 208 (for me) there is: $template->assign_vars(array( 'U_VIEW_FORUM' => append_sid("{$phpbb_root_path}viewfor...

To display FORUM_IMAGE in viewtopic_body.html? It has nothing to do with mod Advertising Management. You are obviously in the wrong topic.

Re: How to display FORUM_IMAGE in viewtopic_body.html

Thanks a lot (I was wondering since last week!). I also got a response here . Even more straight forward: You'll have to make a small edit to a PHP file. Open viewtopic.php in the phpBB root directory, then find this: 'FORUM_DESC' => generate_text_for_display($topic_data['forum_desc'], $topic_data['...

Re: How to display FORUM_IMAGE in viewtopic_body.html

Any idea for this question? To put more information, I can give the example here: in viewtopic_body.html <!-- IF U_MCP --><p>[&nbsp;<a href="{U_MCP}">{L_MCP}</a>&nbsp;]</p><!-- ENDIF --> <h2><img src="/images/ico-forums.gif" width="35" height="35" alig...

Re: Google sitemap displaying -fxx despite URL rewriting

No the SQL rewriting was nothing related, if you don't know what it is, you can just disable it of course. I just thought you had some problems with the cached urls being old, but that was nothing related. Well it says that it speeds up URL rewriting so I better keep it then? Or does it over-load t...

Re: Google sitemap displaying -fxx despite URL rewriting

I think you confused the xml-s with the actual pages. :) Ah ok... now I understand. So it does not matter that the sitemap does not show the rewritten url as it links properly. Thanks again for the explanation and the check... I will submit the sitemap as it is then :-) Was it important to activate...

Re: Google sitemap displaying -fxx despite URL rewriting

Ah ok, it says You must activate SQL Rewriting to use this script ! which I did not do. So I activated the SQL Rewriting (I did not know exactly what was the big advantage but apparently it is necessary for Gym to rewrite properly for site maps and also it says it speeds up the rewriting, so why not...

Google sitemap displaying -fxx despite URL rewriting

Hi, When I check the sitemap generated by GYM, in http://www.easyexpat.com/forums/sitemapindex.xml I still see the URL of the forums being: forums/myforum-fxx.html However using the Mod rewrite advanced i have currently everything with Forum ID Removing: forums/myforum.html in the forum names. Re: pass the forum id only in RSS using GYM

SeO wrote:ho, but then, you can try to keep the urls rewritten, and send un-rewritten url to the feedparser.

Should work too.

Indeed, this is the plan :)

Re: pass the forum id only in RSS using GYM

Just easier to store in the db: I store the forum ID instead of the name in order to use in the feedparser to display RSS.
Thanks

pass the forum id only in RSS using GYM

Is there a way, using GYM RSS to pass the forum with the id only. For example, instead of /forums/myforum-f255/news/forum.xml.gz I would prefer something like /forums/gym.php?fid=255 I tried feed.php?f=46 as per the standard phpBB3 but then I loose the nicely customize URL in the link... Any help, t...

Re: Translating the titles of the different forums/sub-forums

Yes, but if you have a "main language" for a forum, it should be reflected in the language code displayed in html, because english content will have trouble to rank well with fr specified as language content in html. Right. But unfortunately it won't be possible to know in advance (except...
