Modifying mail in profile deactivates the account. Maybe only when phpBB is configured with account mail activation.

The code is ok, but you have to add the slash char after .com when typing your urls.

This works well, and rewrites :
bigskyfans.com/gallery

Hello, anti spam tools would be a better cure, since you try to fix the effect (posted links) not the cause (spam bots). Hello, it may sound stupid, but if you really added the code you quoted with no modification, it cannot work, you have to replace "example" by "hvacruniverse".
