Re: forums.do - Free phpBB Forums :)

Oh i have no problem implementing the system, i can do anything i want in that respect. There could be legal matters yes. At this point i would have to be using a different ad network anyway unfortunately. And as you say, generally there would be minor revenue per forum, the only benefiting forums w...

Re: forums.do - Free phpBB Forums :)

I have actually been considering revenue sharing. That's a whole other system though, i'm quite happy to consider it, however for the moment i will be focusing totally on improving the current system until i'm happy it is as easy to use, and stable as possible. As displayed it's still in it's "...

Re: forums.do - Free phpBB Forums :)

Hey dcz :), I wish! Hehe, it was about time i moved away from a VPS given my other sites. It's a preemptive move, but it has to be done some time. People are registering, creating there own forums, but not doing anything with them. The system is fully functional, allows full style, theme, template e...

Re: Broken links within virtual folders

Hi dcz,

Thanks for your post. You've got a much shorter snippet there ;), i'll check it out later tonight, see how she goes.

I'll look into adding just the {SEO_BASE_HREF} within the head tags of each template too, see if i get any results.

Thanks dcz,

Re: Broken links within virtual folders

Hi dcz, i've gone ahead and made the changes need to parse all links (Maybe the exceptional, rarely used link will slip through) within a forum via includes/templates.php I coded it up to change broken links only, to relative links. Just have to add a period here and there to go up one level. It can...

Re: Broken links within virtual folders

Hi dcz, I wrote up a script to parse all URLS's in any template. The script detects the current folder it's in (Via REQUEST_URI), if it is in a folder that's not the installation folder, it rewrites the URL. Before i post it, my question is, what do you think is a better SEO link, a full link (-http...

Re: Broken links within virtual folders

Hi dcz, Thanks for your post. I figured that would be the case. I'll go ahead and edit links via php instead, so i don't have to edit 150 different templates :P If anyone else is in need of a php edit instead of a template edit for the links, i'll try and track what i change. Thanks anyways, Rhett.

Broken links within virtual folders

Hey all, Just wondering, anyone else have issues with broken links when within a virtual folder? (topic). So whilst viewing forum.com/topic-name/forum-name.html some links will be broke. Namely: Administration Link (At the bottom), is relative to that virtual folder, instead of being up one level Se...
