Sure. so what is the question then ? Even commercial software have glitches/bugs.
What is beta in your eyes ? What is acceptable ?

Sometimes the wording is not so important, you have to look at the features.
for example, Gmail is still beta

As far as what i've tested, i wouldn't qualify the upcoming mod as a beta one. Maybe it will still be labelled as "beta" but in fact it will be much more than beta.

Personnaly I dislike this. It was the same thing last year (30 dec). Many people will just zap it because at this moment they do not have enough time left (or do not want to bother with a phpBB update)

.htaccess :
#PROFILES
RewriteRule ^member([0-9]+)\.html$ /profile.php?mode=viewprofile&u=$1 [QSA,L]

so this means every memberxxxx.html gets redirected to profile.php

You're thinking well... :P
The same FAQ point (just one line more that what you quoted) says :
URL encode everything after the /ping?sitemap=:

<searchengine_URL>/ping?sitemap=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.yoursite.com%2Fsitemap.gz

Re: Question: mixed mod rewrite vs. advanced mod rewrite

well it seems the word "keyword" misleaded you because none of the phpbb-seo mods here could inject keywords in the url. You can only inject forum and topic titles. Not titles + keywords Refer to http://www.phpbb-seo.com/boards/phpbb-seo-toolkit/phpbb-seo-mod-rewrites-vt66.html#417 and bet...

Re: [DEV] phpBB SEO Simple mod Rewrite V 0.0.2

phpbb-seo mods do not remove sids for guests themselves. The documentation (see first post of this topic) advise : Don't forget to install the Cyber alien Guest session mod or any other SID removal method you may prefer. If I were you, i would take a vanilla phpbBB 2.0.21 sessions.php file, apply cy...

Before you make any plan of installing this and that, consider updating to phpBB 2.0.21. The quicker the better (or at least make some backups, you will need them if your forum is hacked)

I surfed a little bit around and it seems your "related topics" mod is the culprit. Take a random topic and have a look at the related topics listing at the bottom of the page. The urls links are all begining with the title of the actual topic you're watching followed by "-vt" an...

Maybe I was not clear (the '*' may be confusing), but the above htaccess rule will redirect each individual url like -http://www.fuoriditesta.it/forum/testi-musicali-vf22.html to the correct and corresponding url, here : -http://forum.fuoriditesta.it/testi-musicali-vf22.html It's not a generic redir...

Re: Great results but...

First of all, is my Sitemap correct? You can find at -http://forum.fuoriditesta.it/sitemaps.xml Yes it is correct. Keep in mind this one is just the sitemap index (the table of contents) which references all you other forum-sitemaps (those who will contains lots of links, like for example -http://f...
