Ok I have finally got around to working on this since 3.0.2 is now out I guess its time to get to 3.0.1. I have a issue right off start with my SEO mods which seem to stop the auto updater: I get the following: Fatal error: Call to a member function url_rewrite() on a non-object in /home/amp...

Thanks I may wait a bit, but it really sucks there is not a easymod like mod out for phpBB3. These installs are rather time consuming. For people with custom templates and etc there really is not much of a option other than manual right now.

Upgrade to 3.0.1 and 0.4.2

I have a 3.0 forum with 0.4.0 as well as Zero Dupe 0.4.0. I am looking for the recommended upgrade path. My guess is the following: - upgrade to phpBB 3.0.1 - upgrade to rewrite 0.4.2 - upgrade to zero dupe 0.4.2 Now since I have all of this I would assume the manual method of all of these would be ...

Any word on the final search fix? it seems it is a bit more impacting than expected. It seems any search with a space in it will produce the following error:

Firefox has detected that the server is redirecting the request for this address in a way that will never complete.

Also may have found another minor issue. It seems the Zero Dupe may removed the adwords tagging so you can not properly track your adwords via Google analytics.

Any ETA on a final fix for the "searching" issue?

Thank again for all of the help,

I think I can wait for the final fix, but I have another larger issue... Seems IE 6 will not load the site properly and at times at all. Firefox and opera seem to work as expected. I have not tried IE 7 yet.

Any ideas as in early testing this seemed to work, but not it just will not load.

Ok I have set it to all and thanks again. I also have a couple of users getting errors like the following when clicking on the "jump to post" link to the right after a serach: Too many redirects occurred trying to open “http://www.dendroboard.com/post274743.html?hilit=fruit%20fly#p274743”....

My previous forum was not being rewritten, I had been waiting for the upgrade. So with that being the case I take it my rewrite line to redirect all the phpBB2/ to / is enough. Right now I have the Posts Redirections set to all, but I am still confused on what this really does. I am using the provid...

I am also confused about the post redirect. We frequently have to move posts due to improper placement, so based on that is one option better here than another? Thanks again, Posts Redirections: This option will determine how to handle post urls; it can take four values : * off, do not redirect post...

I beleive I found a way to redirect the old path to the new one:
Code: Select all
RewriteRule ^phpBB2/(.*)$ http://www.dendroboard.com/$1 [R=301,L]

So far it seems to work...

Let me know if this is ok.

Ok I have upgraded my site and moved phpBB3 to the root. I have installed Mixed phpBB3 SEO Mod Rewrite, and Zero Duplicate. So far most things seem to be working well, but I have some questions: - The check for Zero Duplicate when I try to miss spell a forum url gives me a 404. If I go to a post it ...

Ok makes sense, so I will be putting phpBB3 in the root of the site. With that I will need to figure out how to get my old links that point to /phpbb2/ to point to /.

Thank you for all of the help.

Hmm... Maybe keeping the /phpBB2/ path is worth it but then I will need to get my site to default to that directory as I am planning to no longer use a "home page". So would that change then cause issues with the old urls pointing to phpBB2. Im trying to go with a simple solution that will...
