Re: Finally after 6 years i have been listed in Dmoz

I noticed a few weeks back that my site is now in DMOZ.

About the same time my site seemed to do less well in the search engine rankings

Thanks PHPBB SEO

Sorry I have not been on for a while, but I am extremely busy. I just wanted to thank everyone on here that has worked on the phpbbseo mods, especially dcz. I just had my forum upgraded to phpbb3 a few months back and I have all the seo mods installed from here and they all work perfectly. A friend ...

Re: 301 redirects

I tried this a couple of days back and I could not get it to work  At first I added the additional code to the existing .htaccess file and I also added the file called redirect.php and I changed the url root. I could not get it to work, so I deleted the existing .htaccess file and just used th...

Re: 301 redirects

Thanks DCZ

I'll try this in the next few days.

I'll probably be back soon as I am completely clueless about .htaccess etc.

Thanks very much for your help!

301 redirects

I have a video website that uses phpmotion and I had a friendly url mod installed. The support for the script is not brilliant and it seems only a couple of people can work with the script. The site is on a dedicated server, but I am in the process of uploading all the videos onto youtube, where I w...

Re: Pages being removed from Googles index

Thanks for the replies, but I'm still not convinced that Google is indexing my site fully :? If I use Google.co.uk I get 71,800 pages If I use Google.com I get 8,450 pages. Perhaps this is why I saw a huge difference in indexed pages because I use a couple of computers to check, one uses google.co.u...

Re: Pages being removed from Googles index

My indexed pages in Google were showing 9000 at one point, but I checked yesterday and they have gone back up to 71,000

I have no idea why this happened, but my site has just been moved to a new server, so perhaps that has something to do with it :?:

Re: Referral mod

Thanks DCZ,

I emailed a guy that does work on my forum and he managed to find the mod on a Brazillian forum.

Hopefully he will install it in the next couple of days.

Thanks for your help

Referral mod

I'm looking for a referral mod for phpbb2. I have checked phpbb and phpbb hacks and cannot find one  There is one on phpbb, but the link to download it has either been removed or is broken. If someone can point me in the right direction I would be grateful. If there is not one available, does a...

Re: Pages being removed from Googles index

Thanks dcz,

I'm not sure about traffic as it is a bank holiday weekend here and so the site normally gets a lot less hits.

currently I have the pagination lower limit set to 7 and the pagination upper limit set to 5.

Can you recommend what to change these to please?

Thanks

Chez.

Re: Brackets in url's

Thanks HB,

I have tried encoding the links, but then the link does not work as it should and it just leads to an error page on the affiliate site.

I have just emailed their support to see if they can come up with a solution.

Thanks

Brackets in url's

I'm having a lot of problems with brackets posted in url's at the moment. If someone posts a link that contains brackets ( or ) the link does now work and often the whole post just appears blank. Also I have just signed up as an affiliate for a large firm that sells over 18,000 items and in order to...
